As a budding team, you will be part of shaping the direction of design in TLS and making a mark on highly valued and anticipated solutions.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Translate Insights into Designs: Convert actionable insights from the design research team into low and high-fidelity mock-ups, patterns, prototypes, and development-ready specifications.

• Work closely with stakeholders, design professionals, and others in a cross-functional team to define requirements and develop the solutions for IBM clients
• Assist with user research, integrating findings with business requirements to transform the user’s mental model into the user interface or experience
• Communicate the intended experience through artifacts such as concept maps and models, storyboards, mockups, wireframes, taxonomies, workflows and design specifications
• Clearly document designs for development implementation
• Utilize various cognitive techniques to evaluate user interfaces with end users to refine the UI to ensure it complements the user’s task, environment, profile and needs
• Promote user centered design principles and best practice across the organization.

Please, note that this position requires working on US shifts!

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Education or experience in UX design

• Portfolio of recent and relevant examples of hands-on experience in digital UX design projects

• Experience developing user requirements, user scenario’s, user stories, etc.

• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar

• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, confident working within a cross-functional team and various levels

• Interest in areas such as customer service, product and service design, and AI

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with Enterprise Design Thinking by IBM and workshop facilitation and coaching

• Candidates for this role should excel at advocating for the user, while communicating ideas and experiences to a wide variety of audiences
