Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with expert-level planners to design and execute meetings and events that align with corporate goals and product strategies.
- Apply industry best practices to produce events that follow established guidelines, using creativity and insight to enhance the attendee experience.
- Lead specific event components as assigned and support all aspects of planning, from logistics to post-event evaluations.
- Partner with expert-level planners in coordinating with vendors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective event execution. Provide feedback on vendor performance, helping drive continuous improvement.
- Support budget planning, tracking, and reporting, adhering to allocated budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain a clear understanding of finance principles and industry trends as they apply to event budgets, offering recommendations for franchise budgets when appropriate.
- Help evaluate event impact through metrics and feedback, contributing to the improvement of future programs.
- Remain current on industry trends and practices, actively participating in relevant councils and training programs to enhance planning skills and expertise.
- Support event operations by maintaining documentation, schedules, and templates as needed.
- Assist with event logistics, communications, and post-event follow-ups as part of the overall planning process.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Planning, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in meeting/event planning, preferably in a corporate or medical device industry setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in budgeting and cost management.
- Knowledge of event industry trends and best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of tools required and event management software and tools is a plus.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience collaborating in a team environment.
- Strong vendor management support experience.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and think on your feet.
