Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C#, Java, or Python
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C#, Java, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in technical architect, technical consulting, Automation design and implementation, and/or technical sales.
  • Experience in automation engineering, process automation, or related fields.
  • Experience in technical certification and testing devices for requirements.
  • Technical experience in software engineering, automation, device testing, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams to achieve timely laptop standardization.
  • A sense of personal ownership and accountability, together with the ability to develop and deliver to deadlines while managing internal stakeholder expectations.
  • Passion for working on laptop hardware, performing penetration testing, and identifying issues.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and the ability to ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layer network and cloud issues.
  • Working understanding of operating system concepts and imaging.
  • Enterprise-scale experience in virtualization and certificate services.
  • Experience in cyber security or risk awareness.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and other DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) and familiarity with automation frameworks and tools.
  • Experience working with APIs and integrating with third-party systems.
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with OEM engagement and relationships, including SKU selection, pricing, and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in testing and automating the testing process for devices to meet business requirements.
  • Experience in managing and updating software for smooth delivery of devices to users across the organization.
  • Ability to work with vendors to deliver services and manage software updates.
  • Awareness of security best practices and the ability to implement security measures in the testing and deployment of devices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Architects and Organizations: Work closely with architects and various organizational teams to gather requirements for OEMs, develop new laptop models, and ensure they meet SAS/SAW requirements.

• Device Testing and Automation: Lead efforts to test devices for SAS/SAW requirements and automate the testing process to ensure compliance and efficiency.

• Software Management: Manage and update software for the smooth delivery of SAW devices to users across the organization. Work with vendors to deliver these services and manage software updates.

• Incident Management: Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for incident management. Respond to and mitigate incidents, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.

• Reliability Management: Maintain the reliability and supportability of live services. Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Security Awareness: Implement security measures in the testing and deployment of devices. Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and best practices.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to achieve timely laptop standardization and ensure smooth operations across different departments.

• Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and analyze system performance and reliability metrics. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance system performance and user experience.

• Customer and Stakeholder Communication: Ensure informative and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders during incidents and other critical events.
