Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Establish and manage strong relationships and contractual agreements with trade partners.
Manage all aspects of specialty pharmacy and/or distribution accounts including contracting, performance reviews, new program/service offerings and overall customer relationships.
Responsible for monitoring, measuring, evaluating contract performance and network efficiency/effectiveness for Specialty Pharmacies and Specialty Distributors and communicating performance to both internal and external stakeholders.
Evaluate service requirements (e.g. turnaround time, compliance initiatives, data) to drive specialty pharmacy performance and network optimization.
Develop and implement performance requirements/metrics to ensure timely access to Incyte medications; deliver high quality patient services in various pharmacy channels that align to brand objectives.
Maintain a deep understanding of the Specialty Pharmacy & Specialty Distribution channels; understand pharmacy capabilities and the competitive pharmacy marketplace to ensure that Incyte maintains an industry leading approach to patient support in specialty pharmacy channels.
Collaborate with Incyte Finance on Accounts Receivable issues, product pricing, GTN calculations, fee for service arrangements and product inventory levels.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
Significant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and 2 years of contracting experience
Experience with oncology therapies, oncology oral, IV and biologic agents required
Proven track record of account management performance
Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, PharmD, PhD) a plus
Experience in distribution, marketing, finance, sales management, strategy, GPO & payer contracting
Experience in building & managing limited distribution networks for orphan and rare disease products in hematology and oncology
Understanding of the US commercial and government healthcare and reimbursement environment
Knowledge and experience with government programs, such as 340B, State Medicaid, Medicare Part D
In-depth knowledge of managed care and state and federal reimbursement sectors
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to rapidly assimilate information and to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Experience and knowledge of various point of sale programs for specialty pharmacy
