As a Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Networking, you'll collaborate with operations and development teams. You will maintain and manage our cloud computing platforms that provide customers with sophisticated computing resources (e.g. Load balancers, firewalls, Kubernetes containers) that scales with workloads. You'll create tools to collect analytics, automate the deployment, monitoring and management of the platform.

As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

Developing configuration management tools with shell/python languages and Saltstack/Ansible/Terraform infrastructure
Creating monitoring solutions based on Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards
Troubleshooting and resolve platform faults and escalations
Working with cross functional teams to define reliability requirements and performance metrics for Akamai's cloud computing infrastructure
Participating in on-call rotations, guiding restoration and repair of service-impacting issues

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 2 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent experience
Have experience with open-source monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
Have experience with programming in Linux environments, such as python and shell scripting
Have experience and knowledge with networking technologies such as routing, firewall and DNS
Have experience with Linux systems and tools such as netstats, traceroute, tcpdump
