You are responsible for

  • Provide H&S support at the Market level supporting activities at Offices, Research and Development locations, Field Service Operations and other activities including activities at Customer and Supplier premises, trade shows, conferences, travelling on business etc.
  • Become H&S Subject Matter Expert as required
  • Ensure that Regulatory compliance requirements in the region are identified, communicated to the appropriate persons and implemented effectively.
  • Provide H&S advice and support to Business Leaders in the Market. Provide regular Reports on H&S performance.
  • Promote “Off the Job Safety” including activities that promote safety to meet Philips objectives of improving the lives of 2.5Bn people. Liaise with and work with other Philips agencies including HR and communications to achieve the highest levels of off the job safety.
  • Ensure that Safety Training to support Safety Operational Controls is effective and available. Training effectiveness to be tracked for effectiveness.
  • Technical expert in Accident Investigation
  • Provide H&S support for new acquisitions and ensure integration into the Philips Safety program in an agreed timeframe under direction of the Regional H&S Leader.
  • Audit team Member for H&S Audits in the Region
  • Support the H&S leadership team in managing H&S in Philips as required
  • Support Manufacturing activities in Markets as required

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety related subject
  • Membership of professional body (e.g. UK CMIOSH, USA CSP or equivalent).
  • OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor (in addition ISO 14001 Lead Auditor desirable)
  • 8-12 years of related EHS management / Health & Safety experience in corporate / commercial operations environment
  • Strong legal compliance experience in APAC
  • Audit experience at multinational sites
  • Strong H&S risk assessment skills
  • Experience of writing and maintaining EHS policies
  • Experienced EHS trainer
  • Managed EHS at Leadership level
  • Broad functional understanding of complex multinational organizations
  • Greenbelt / Lean expert
