As a Staff Technical Product Manager, you are responsible for operating in lock-step with product management to create a clear strategic direction for build needs for a products in your teams portfolio. You will work with the team and deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements to enable the delivery of a products features and functionality. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders: Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Service Owners and Developers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Lead discussions with stakeholders / cross-functional teams to elucidate the functional & non-functional requirements from the business needs.
- Demonstrates excelling business acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape.
- Drive continuous refinement with the team to translate business requirements into product backlog and team backlog abiding by the feature and story definition templates.
- Own and manage the backlog prioritization taking all the factors into consideration.
- Ensure refined backlog availability for development one program increment in advance in accordance with the DoR criteria.
- Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering teams.
- Translates unstructured or ambiguous scope requests into mature prioritized work items.
- Perform competitor and GE product analysis and drive scope for platformization.
- Research and evaluate solution alternatives and deliver proposals that meet competitive needs.
- Engage frequently with the development team; facilitate discussions; provide clarification; review design from end user fitment viewpoint; Drive feature estimations.
- Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for functional scenarios.
- Expert in agile and SAFe methodology.
- Participate in team demos and accept stories and features.
- Possess an understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product.
- Support Release Train Engineer in preparation for Release Planning event.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience.
Mandatory skills:
- Working Exposure to healthcare product development life cycle, delivery, and regulatory aspects.
- Working exposure to Clinical platforms.
- Working exposure to cyber security. Understanding privacy & security standards and translating it to backlog for the team.
- Experience in Software development process and technologies.
- Knowledge of SAFe / Agile Development practices and experience working on an Agile Scrum Teams.
- Experience working in a global team environment and a cross-functional product development environment.
- Attention to detail and ability work independently towards timely completion of a variety of assignments & develop unique concepts/solutions for complex products.
Desirable skills:
- Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with Rally.
- Understanding of GE and competitor product / workflows in the context of diagnostic platform
- Behavior Driven Development methodology
- Strong verbal/written communication and influencing skills.
