KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Provide leadership, planning and direction for transformational change portfolio including setting goals/objectives, budget administration, resource planning, teammate development, establishing (and ensuring adherence to) policies and procedures and removing obstacles to team success.
  • Partner with Finance groups and TIH LOBs to develop high performance solutions to advance enterprise strategic goals and TIH’s industry standing.
  • Lead large scale multi-disciplinary project teams to provide solutions and capabilities in areas including operational improvement, finance function activities and business integration/separation.
  • Organize, lead, and execute special projects as assigned by the CFO; to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage relationship with external service providers, investors for solution delivery and application support.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure support and successful implementation of solutions.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project team members and contribute to internal communications and readiness.
  • Identify, assess, manage, and measure existing capabilities and knowledge.
  • Develop and refine strategic design considerations for organizational solutions.
  • Drive integration alignment and consistency to monitor & track program/project progress.
  • Implement change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to measure success of initiatives.
  • Manage the identification, development and presentation of peer trends, opportunities, and risks to inform management decisions.
  • Stay current on industry practices and issues, assessing and communicating their impact on the business.
  • Regularly present and interact with regulatory agencies, board of managers, executive leadership, and investors as appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or equivalent education and related training or experience.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred.
  • Experience leading large transformational programs is preferred.
  • Fifteen years of demonstrated success in a related role.
  • Fifteen years of management experience in financial services.
  • Thorough knowledge of the insurance industry and associated financial management practices and concepts.
