Commercial:

  • As a Director, your key role will be to work with the current leadership team to drive business growth by drawing on your knowledge, expertise, skills and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • You will be responsible for delivering a Go-To-Market for Finance- tech strategy in line with the EY vision and mission.
  • You will grow our business through building valued relationships with external clients and position EY in the market through thought leadership and point of views. This in combination with the EY vision on Finance Transformation will allow you to provide innovative insights for clients, adapting our service offerings, solutions, and methods to fit the operational teams and cultural needs.

Delivery:

  • Growing our business starts with our Exceptional Client Service approach. You will be responsible for the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder projects that improve our client’s business performance. You will deliver high-end quality in every step of our projects.
  • You successfully articulate, design, and implement a vision for Finance and “case for change” that draws on innovative global technology trends, leading practice and service innovation.
  • You will oversee and ensure the successful execution of end-to-end finance transformation programs, while actively managing and mitigating risks.

Team:

  • You will be a coach and counselor for the team. You will support EY consultants with the progression of their career and bring your own life experience as guidance for them. You are a true people manager and can bring the EY Transformative Leadership model to life.

Job requirements – Where do you start if you want to change the world?

  • A master’s degree in Finance, Business Engineering, Management or similar
  • A minimum of 10 years professional experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering large scale finance transformation projects gained in consulting and/or the industry
  • You are passionate about Finance Transformation and can rely on strong knowledge and experience in this field or one of the sub-fields: Finance Strategy, Finance Operating Model, Digital Finance, Global Business Services, Value & Performance Management
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong professional network and proven business development skills
  • Intrinsic motivation to help establish and strengthen relationships with our clients
  • You are technological savvy and are familiar with the latest technologies
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, drive, enthusiasm, conceptual thinking, communication & influencing skills and pragmatism in execution
  • Commitment to support the development of others through taking on coaching and counselling roles for team members
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Dutch is a valuable asset.

    • Flexible working: you decide where and when you work in consultation with your team. At home, at the office, at the client or from another European country (up to 20 working days per year).

    • Salary: in addition to your fixed salary, depending on EY's financial performance, you may be eligible for a bonus.

    • Birth leave: EY will pay 100% of the birth leave, in case of an additional birth leave EY will pay 70% of the salary.

We therefore offer you the opportunity to take part in various soft & hard skills training, external courses and/or sign up for an additional education. For example, obtaining an MBA to broaden your skills in Leadership, Business and Tech.
    • Mobility: Contribute directly to our ambition to reduce EY's carbon footprint to zero by 2025. With the new scheme you choose the most diverse sustainable options via the EY My Daily Travel app or online environment. Think of the use of lease bicycles, electric shared scooters, electric shared cars, flexible lease cars and various subscriptions for public transport. You can also view your CO2 footprint via the app.
    • Bicycle arrangement: finance the purchase cost of your new bicycle from your gross monthly salary (purchase cost amount divided over 12 months) or from your non-statutory holiday entitlement.
    • Pension scheme: you will build up a pension capital directly after your start at EY. Each month the available premium amount is transferred for you in an investment account at our pension provider. You will also have the option to build up additional pension capital on a voluntary basis.

Recruitment procedure

The selection procedure consist in general out of 2 interview rounds and an assessment.


Due to laws and regulations, and because EY (and in some cases its clients) has high demands on the reliability and integrity of its employees, every new employee will be screened. Depending on your rank the pre-employment screening could contain the following: Certificate of Conduct (in Dutch: VOG) or - if requesting a Dutch VOG is not possible - Criminal Background Check of the country you are currently living or have lived during the last five years, integrity questionnaire, verification of ID, diploma’s and/or work experience and consultation of the Dutch insolvency registry.
