Create methodologies, procedures and governance of the Productivity Area to ensure expense targets are met by each business/function
Evaluate and approve investment/expenditure requests and capital expenses for all Controllership disciplines
Ensure approved out-of-budget expenditure requests are appropriately handled
Engage in cost management activities, such as validating spending and cost saving initiatives, monitoring savings initiatives and expenses, as well as monitoring consistency between financial information, productivity information and HR reports
Identify opportunities to optimize costs, propose initiatives and lead creation of direct expense plans in partnership with internal functions and teams
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Provide leadership and promote business ties with internal and external senior leaders/clients across key businesses, regions and support functions
Capable of diving into details, while bringing a strategic lens and big picture perspective
Deep expertise in workforce management, including planning, reporting and location strategy
Demonstrated ability to devise and manage budgets and the associated monitoring process
Demonstrated skills in building and developing teams
Highly developed analytical and problem solving skillset
Experience with and confidence in delivering presentations to senior management
Strong organizational and follow-up skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a highly dynamic environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and provide direction with judgement and authority to enable effective validation with senior stakeholders
Management experience in a financial services role
Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
