The Program:

Commercial Organization

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Product Design team to improve the online shopping experience for customers on HP.com.

  • Assist in designing, developing, and optimizing the user interface (UI) for the eCommerce platform, focusing on ease of navigation and overall user satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure consistent branding, messaging, and calls to action across product pages and landing pages.

  • Assist in conducting A/B tests and usability tests to gather user feedback and refine design elements.

  • Analyze website performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in user experience, conversion rates, and customer engagement.

  • Assist with troubleshooting any front-end issues and collaborate with the development team to implement solutions.


• Currently enrolled in a four-year college and returning to school following the internship.
• Basic understanding of web design principles and UI/UX best practices.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web design software (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch).
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on visual design and layout consistency.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills (Preferred Qualifications):
• Experience with eCommerce platforms
• Familiarity with responsive web design and mobile-first design principles.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices as it applies to web design.
• Experience using analytics tools to assess website performance.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or other front-end development languages.
• Understanding of customer-centered design and how to optimize for user engagement and conversion.
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to innovate within design constraints
