EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As manager of our ISBN sales team, you will be responsible for building and leading a team that will sell Procurement, external Workforce and Business Network solutions adopting value-based market penetration strategies to achieve net booking attainment and customer success. That includes the following tasks:
- Demonstrating outstanding execution track along sales cycles, ensuring SAP’s sales methodologies and common processes are in place and defining clear territory engagement guidelines.
- Supporting each sales team member to ensure expected quarterly and annual sales objectives are met.
- Monitoring and taking necessary measures, e.g. industry specific demand generation activities, to ensure adequate R4Q pipeline of opportunities and adequate pipeline management by leveraging the respective tools such as harmony.
- Developing and ensuring industry specific strategies and account planning for sustainable growth within the given industry cluster.
- Establishing and maintaining accurate, timely and documented sales revenue forecasting procedures regarding the given budget and linearity goals, providing required updates to SAP executive management.
- Sales know how and understanding of the key industries: Enterprise Growth Customers (formerly Midmarket), DMI & Automotive, Consumer
- Building and maintaining effective relationships across industry, procurement community, internal VAT (Virtual Account Team), development and support organizations, as well as other internal stakeholders, involving them on the early stages of sales cycle to drive expected revenue and customer satisfaction results.
- Building effective executive relationships with key customers and partners to stay current on issues impacting business and sales, providing meaningful strategic advice to retain and grow their business through integrated solutions.
- Facilitating alignment and effective communication within sales team and internal/external key partners/customers to resolve any conflict to encourage harmonious and productive interaction.
- Facilitating individual growth and development of sales team, setting objectives, performance standards and priorities, coaching and acting as role model on sales approaches.
- Effectively managing remote resources, dedicating quality time and leveraging company’s resources.
EDUCATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration or comparable course of studies. Master’s Degree or comparable Degree (e.g. Diploma) would be beneficial
- Strong diplomatic and political skills
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken (C1 level)
- Distinctive network within SAP and the corresponding areas ideally within the procurement area
- Pronounced teambuilding skills
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in SAP licenses sales
- Preferably experience in supporting customers in discrete manufacturing, consumer industries, Enterprise Growth
- Proven abilities on managing highly complex contract negotiations and applying risk-mitigation strategies to customer escalations
- Experience working in virtual teams in a highly competitive and fast-paced environment
- Sound and verifiable experience in building C-level relationships
- Expertise & working experience with the SAP Intelligent Spend & Business Network portfolio of advantage
