Responsibilities:
Logistics Specialist is charged with the following employment duties:
· Organization on time delivery equipment and parts in/out of the region (international and domestics shipments), rigging and storage.
· Coordinating and communicating shipment delivery, rigging and storage requirements with partners (service providers). Overcome roadblocks to ensure logistics is made in line with internal and external customers’ requirements.
· Planning and analysis of transportation, rigging and warehouse cost and tie to the financial ledger.
· Primary contact for global affiliates in reference to the logistics process.
· Responsible for timely, accurate and complete record keeping. Implementation of tools and dashboards for metric visibility and communication. Developing, measuring and reporting performance metrics to drive improvements.
· Support standardization and optimization of logistics processes across the region. Drive data analysis and business case development for key projects. Drive improvements in standardization, simplification and productivity of daily activities. Leading change initiatives that will enable logistics to reach a world-class level of operations.
· Support warehousing optimization, control and audit of warehouse operations (visit warehouse).
· Maintaining and developing relationships with current, new and potential service providers.
· Drive and supporting Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) initiatives.
· Logistics support of local manufacturing, including new products localization.
· Cross-functionally work and continuous internal communication with sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, modalities, sales, finance and operations (OTR, HPM, etc.) to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes · Continuous internal communication with global and local managers, transportation and warehouse teams.
· Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
· Proficient knowledge, understanding and leadership for International Trade Compliance, identify and resolve any trade compliance issues.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience working in logistics, engineering or supply chain management; or a High School diploma/GED and 5 years of work experience in logistics, engineering, or supply chain management
· Experience in logistics or supply chain modeling & simulation.
· Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast- paced changing environment.
· Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
· Demonstrated logistics leadership of multiple facilities in a similar industry
· Excellent project management, communication and analytical skills
