Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily financial operations for the NA Services team by interacting with regional service managers, project managers, and consultants

  • Set up and manage projects within the Project Accounting Module and a professional services automation (PSA) tool

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, customer invoices, and account reconciliations

  • Perform analyses

  • Resolve customer issues

  • Provide booking guidance to our order entry and credit teams

  • Complete monthly and quarterly financial close activities

  • Participate in testing activities related to the ASC 606

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Experience with a major enterprise resource planning (ERP) software package

  • Understanding of the ASC 606 with the ability to communicate Red Hat’s approach to our stakeholders

  • Highly motivated with good creative problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment under deadline pressure

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; record of working with diverse internal and external groups in the field of finance, legal, sales, operations, senior management, etc.

  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and take on new challenges as they arise

  • Ability to manage services revenue recognition while adhering SOX controls and Red Hat’s policy

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with Oracle ERP, RevStream, and Salesforce.com (SFDC)

  • Experience working as a project accountant in any industry

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting

The salary range for this position is $66,820.00 - $106,960.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
