Job responsibilities

  • Support Payments BM team in terms of strategy, controls, people and financial performance
  • Be a point of contact to the Payments front office and support functions to help achieve business objectives and opportunities
  • Provide strategic analyses and reporting to facilitate business progression
  • Build effective relationships and work closely with F&BM colleagues (Planning & Analysis, Controllers, Industry/Product business managers, Office Management)
  • Support senior team members on completing monthly performance reporting and forecasting process, including revenue, balances, volumes, spreads and expense trends
  • Support annual planning process and monthly performance tracking against plan
  • Prepare periodic and ad hoc business performance presentations / reviews

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Fluent English language skills, German at least conversational
  • Understanding of Payments products, systems and processes
  • A thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls
  • Strong analytical and numeric skills, excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills; flexibility, ability to prioritise requests and multi-task in the face of ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure
  • Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills; team player
  • Ability to work well individually and partner effectively within a team
  • Proactive and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions
  • Disciplined approach to processes and controls with a view to continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Education to degree standard (or equivalent) in an Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline is preferred
