You will work closely with other stakeholders as well as regional/global teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
As a JPMSE Data Governance Manager - Vice President within our Data Governance team, you willbe responsible for shaping Data Management practices, implementing Data Governance frameworks, and leveraging analytics to support business-decision making. Additionally, you will focus on Risk Data Aggregation (RDARR) and EU AI Act requirements, ensuring JPMSE’s data and analytics function align with evolving regulatory requirements. You will report to the JPMSE Head of Data Governance and cover Data Governance across all lines of business and functions present in JPMSE.
Job responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional projects within JPMSE that require Data Governance expertise, manage decisions, review emerging risks and support escalations
- Develop and implement Data Governance Frameworks, policies and best practices
- Support JPMSE’s adherence to regulatory requirements with regulatory requirements (e.g. BCBS 239/ RDARR, EU AI Act)
- Collaborate with business and corporate function stakeholders to define data governance goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data quality and accessibility
- Develop and deliver training programs to promote data governance awareness and best practices across the Legal Entity
- Monitor and report on Data Governance metrics and progress to JPMSE Management Board and other key stakeholders
- Serve as a point of contact for data governance issues and provide guidance and support to business units
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in data governance and data management
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Significant experience in the financial services industry
- Knowledge and experience in Data Strategy, analytics, Risk Data Aggregation, or Data Governance
- Experience in driving regulatory assessments, managing regulatory implementation
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239 (RDARR), GDPR, and the EU AI Act
- Excellent organization & planning skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to succinctly communicate messages to various levels of the organization
- Ability to translate business context into key messages relevant for the legal entity
- Team player with ability to build & maintain productive working relationships with colleagues globally at all levels and across functions in order to achieve results
- Education to degree level (or equivalent)
- Fluency in English
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- German will be considered a plus
- Handling exposure to regulatory bodies in an advantage
