Job Description
The team is responsible for the full lifecycle of hardware and software to include evaluation of market offerings, engineering, deployment, operational support and retirement of solutions in order to deliver required functionality to meet security requirements, business needs and enhance user experience. The Print team will ensure two primary print enterprise capabilities are managed in a Product lifecycle approach: general office print, and specialty print (barcode and label printers).
The Print product manager will focus on:
Defines the overall product vision and strategy with a focus on value, business outcome, and user experience
Define and manage strategy, standards and workflow processes for our global print capabilities
Partnering with business to understand needs of print services in order to meet unmet needs and improve overall service delivery of print services.
Establish and manage external hardware vendor relationships to deliver sales and technical support for vendor products, as well as establishment of hardware standards and acquisition of standard printers (office and bar code) to establish a lab environment for the use by enterprise application teams to test print functionality against standard offerings.
Establish and manage software vendor relationships to manage roadmap of solution offering, address operational issues and continue to address user needs.
Partner with support organizations such as IT operations and IT support to ensure end-to-end support is available to end users
Partner with Enterprise application teams to ensure all integration with print using supported standard methods
Partner with Infrastructure teams such as data center, network, cloud and security to ensure service delivery of print and fax services across all of our eco system.
Lead global team of engineers and regional leads to deliver quality print services
Partner with the finance for accurate forecast and budget management in a global environment
Partner with the business to continuously ‘right size’ our printing capability (i.e., the right number of printers in the right areas)
Ensure compliance with all SDLC policies
Fully utilize the product model to improve customer experience based on business and stakeholder feedback.
Implement and evolve automation to ensure consistent high quality of service delivery
Publish leadership reports summarizing (with KPIs) how we are leveraging our external vendors (e.g., HP) to supplement or offset our internal engineering functions
Publish leadership reports summarizing the utilization and costs of our print solutions globally
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or prior work experience in equivalent Engineering, Computer Science field (in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years work experience in these fields is required)
Strong technical background in security, networking, cloud, and enterprise architecture
Experience working with and developing global teams.
Experience:
5+ years experience leading global enterprise IT team
5+ years in managing global vendor service delivery
3+ years History of building and leading high performance technical teams.
3+ years of partnering with internal organizations for successful support of global systems
3+ years of demonstrated financial leadership in global environment
Demonstrated leadership skills to represent product teams to internal stakeholders
Ability to communicate to all organization levels across divisions in order to successfully deliver print and fax services
Competency in the skills and knowledge of the role of ‘Technical Product Management’ at a manager level
Strong team leadership and development experience; able to demonstrate the ability to manage people
Strong financial management experience to develop forecasts and manage budget goals
Excellent oral and written communication skills - communicates candidly and clearly with strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
Organizational skills to manage complex workloads.
Contract negotiation of multi year global contracts
Demonstrated experience in effective management of dotted line organizations
