About the role


As a Revenue Recognition Early Career Talent, you will review different contract types such as Software, Cloud, Services, and frame contracts. You will also review and structure deals that include multiple contracts, special terms and conditions and conduct special revenue accounting treatment assessments in close collaboration with regional and global colleagues. This Early Career Talent will participate in the general administration of the finance function. This may include activities such as provide guidance on licensing and pricing questions, assist with deal structuring, and review Software, Cloud and Services deals. This role may complete transactions within a specialized area and may interact with the F&A Community and GCO Sales to achieve desired results.

What you will do

Position title: Commercial Finance - Revenue Recognition CoE - Early Career Talent

Location: Colombia – Hybrid work set-up (Remote and office when required)

Duration: Temporary up to 2 years


Finance Early Career Talent is s a key role in Deal Support activities within Commercial Finance (e.g., manage sales interactions structure, propose and review commercial offers), and includes all core activities that are performed to meet requirements that result from SAP internal global policies. Very important in this role is interaction and communication with other team members and managers in an international environment, and as such require advanced communication and language skill.

  • Performing controls and procedures to review on premise and cloud license agreements to ensure they are accounted for properly; understanding changes in business and regulatory environments to ensure compliance
  • Provide guidance on licensing and pricing questions
  • Assist with deal structuring
  • Review Software, Cloud and Services deals.
  • Handle Deal Support escalations

  • Interacting with external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit
  • Confident problem solver, able to work to multiple deadlines under pressure and has a willingness to develop a thorough knowledge of IFRS / U.S. GAAP on revenue recognition as well as SAP’s own policies and practices.
  • Performing controls and procedures related to the monthly close and ensure the market unit controllers are aware of all posted adjustments

Education:

  • Must be a recent Graduate of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Open to various educational backgrounds, focused on Finance/Accounting
  • Finished Internship

Requirements and Experience:

  • Maximum of 2 years of experience in business administration, Finance, accounting, controlling and/or equivalent
  • Interpersonal Skills

  • Advanced MS Office skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
