Internship: Finance Manufacturing and Supply Chain

Contract:min 32 h/week,preferably40h/week

In this role you will work with different stakeholders: Finance and non finance, multiple businesses on a regular basis. You will cooperate regularly with Business Heads of Finance which creates quite some business exposure and help understand different perspectives. Besides you will support the Freight Audit and Pay process which is linked to Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

  • Help to improve financial performance planning/ budgets processes for Philips manufacturing sites, including process accountability and setting guidelines.

  • Reviewing and improving the prebill control framework. (This can be also a topic for a thesis)

  • Support Month-end process including forward looking expectations of a quarter

  • Support the Management performance review deck per Business and for full Philips in ISC scope

  • Provide a fresh look to current process

o succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Student for a Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Possibility (but not a must) to write your thesis during the internship

  • Work with different data flows

  • Advanced technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to balance speed and accuracy

  • Strong communication skills in English

This is an addition to:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop

In order to be considered, you have to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation will be requested. Students from outside the EU enrolled at a Dutch university need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement – which needs to be signed by the student and the university.
