You are experienced across all disciplines of events for both B-to-B and B-to-C Events and have a proven track record in driving event innovation based on strategy. As the Events Lead, you will contribute with strategic recommendations to the business, delivering best value for all aspects related to meeting and events. Challenge the status quo to contribute to innovation and best in class inspirational virtual, hybrid and in-person Event Experiences.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Act as business partner for internal stakeholders, understand their long-term objectives and proactively design a mid/ long term event strategy to support these objectives.
- Create event briefing and production design based on business objectives envisioning the consumer journey
- Manage high-end Nike event experiences in collaboration with global- and Key City teams
- Lead seamless logistics and technical production of events through strategic partnerships with internal and external service providers
- Attract, manage & lead extended project teams. Maintain long term relationships with freelancers.
- Develop and manage event budgets
- Design B-to-B and B-to-C virtual, hybrid and live Event Experiences
- Lead and develop strategic projects contributing to strengthen the EMEA Event strategy
- Develop long-term external and internal strategic partnerships
- Pro-active contribution to help shape the future of the EMEA Event department by co-design and influencing global direction with local requirements
- Drive and improve efficient processes in meeting and events execution
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Reporting to the Director EMEA GPS Events, you will be part of and working closely together with the EMEA Events team, from across the geography and our external strategic event partners at EHQ.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum of 7-year work experience in the international event industry
- Expertise in event technology, innovation and trends across virtual, hybrid and live events
- Proven ability to manage large scale events from concept to execution for both B to B and B to C events
- Strong network within the international event industry
- Experience leading strategic partnerships and supplier management, at Fortune 500 company
- Skilled in translating business objectives into effective event solutions
- Strong problem solving, organizational awareness and influencing skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work cross- functionally with senior leadership
- Excellent verbal and written and presentation skills
- Able to articulate complex business concepts clearly in English
- Willingness to travel 20-25%
