A Typical Day:

  • Using Airbnb metrics and overall market demand metrics, Lead, Real Estate Development will identify those government approved locations or zones where Airbnb supply can be legally built and/or converted and operated with no or limited restrictions and these types of investment schemes are most likely to be supported by the market
  • Conduct thorough market analysis of available STR or hotel business license property (sites or possible buildings for conversion) ready for development to meet supply needs; perform deep market analysis and proposals to address condo supply
  • Identify and negotiate with commercial and institutional real estate investors to secure dense, multiunit Airbnb residences which would be resident hosted or centrally listed.
  • Contact and provide support to owners/brokers of multi-unit residential sites to introduce our products and tools
  • Identify and follow up on inbound leads and generate new leads
  • Collaborate cross functionally to optimize the program and product for the market
  • Collaborate with global and local Legal to execute agreements
  • Collaborate with Marketing to implement appropriate branding partnership and terms
  • Work with developers to implement resident hosting tools, where applicable
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of all related agreements, residential association management agreements, residential license and development agreements, or other agreements with owner/owner's representatives. Ensure that agreement terms and conditions are compliant with company terms and conditions
  • Work cross functionally and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage and close projects
  • Analyze the competitive landscape in target markets and identify competitive and/or comparable opportunities

Your Expertise:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience of real estate development and/or residential industry experience, accommodation industry (including hotel, reports, STR), debt and/or equity experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English with a strong preference for Spanish as well
  • Familiarity with relevant local regulations and local rules pertaining to our business
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of owning and executing ambitious projects, start to finish.
  • Champions creativity and able to execute strategy in alignment with day-to-day operations; creates and implements actionable business objectives
  • Strong influencing and communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Collaborative and able to work to define and foster a values-based culture as well as promote accountability.
