Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering,technical program management, product management or software engineering.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 3+ years experience and understanding of security vulnerabilities and attacks (Hardware, Software, Network, and People).

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Detailed understanding of distributed identity and trust ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices related to supply chain security, integrity, and resilience.

Responsibilities

As ayou'll focus on understanding industry-wide customer needs for security, integrity, and resilience across end-to-end supply chains, and using this to help define pragmatic solutions that are simple and operable in today's public cloud environments. This work has a long term impact and will help shape our industry.

Ultimately you're part of a community creating source code and practices used to secure open-source software. Ideal candidates are hands on, working directly with code, data models, and protocol definitions. You'll also work on standards development, which involves tool and process development as well as validation and maintenance of specifications. Finally, you'll represent Microsoft, presenting on our behalf at industry forums and conferences with the goal of helping others understand and adopt technology related to open-source security, specifically supply chain security.
