As a Government Affairs Manager for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean you will help us develop and deepen relationships with the Federal and State Governments of Mexico, particularly with Ministries, Regulatory Agencies and Congress and focus on key policy issues in Central American and the Caribbean region.
Regularly engage and coordinate with key government stakeholders of federal governments and legislators of the designated region to secure government and/or congress approval, policy support and changes and regulatory permits.Monitor changes in public policies, organization structure, decision-making processes; update the overall relationship portfolio; and identify important stakeholders and key figures.Design and implement strategic engagement campaigns, working with both internal and external partners.Create policy and background materials for relevant meetings and engagement.Capture intelligence and assists in the preparation of position papers, policy briefings, other materials.
  • 15+ years of experience working in a Government Affairs position in multinational corporations, government organizations and/or trade associations in Mexico.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within Mexico mainly and also to Central America, the Caribbean and USA.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Leadership positions in major industry associations.
  • Skills in communicating with government officials and internal business units.
  • Experience with the international tech industry, international trade and political landscape.
  • Experience developing politically diverse public affairs campaigns on the federal, state, congress and/or international level.
  • Thrive in an ambiguous work environment.
  • Influence and inspire change across multiple organizations and time zones.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
