CSG markets GSAM's investment products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries and advisors. The focus is on building and maintaining long-term client relationships and communicating key themes from the firm's leading investment professionals. CSG provides investment solutions across all major asset classes (e.g., fixed income, equities and alternatives) and products including mutual funds, ETFs, separate accounts and alternative investments.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Markets Coverage Group is a part of the broader ETF Specialist Team which is responsible for driving asset growth in GSAM ETFs. The Markets Coverage Specialist is specifically responsible for the global secondary markets strategy, managing all aspects of the ecosystem required to deliver a healthy secondary market trading experience. Working closely with product, portfolio management, and distribution, the Specialist will play a critical role in the execution of the overall ETF strategy. Key day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all aspects of ETF market quality, including monitoring of trading spreads, trading volumes and volatility.
  • Manage relationships with key liquidity providers, including Market Makers, Authorized Participants and Exchanges.
  • Increase visibility of GSAM ETFs throughout the ETF ecosystem.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders on all ETF launches, specifically owning all aspects of liquidity provision including listing exchange, lead market makers, and seed capital.
  • Act as the main points of contact for trading and liquidity related queries for internal stakeholders and clients directly.
  • Interact with financial advisors and institutions on implementation process, build relationships with custodial trading desks and sell side partners to help guide best practices.
  • Drive ETF adoption with key institutional segments.
  • Create trading-related thought leadership

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of experience at an ETF issuer or in an ETF sales and trading role.
  • Deep fixed income and or derivatives experience a plus.
  • Series 7 and 63 licensed strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong technical skills related to ETF structure and general market micro-structure.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment with flexibility and a high level of self-motivation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and work independently.
  • Highly organized with attention-to-detail and excellent follow-through.
  • Ability to present one-on-one and in large group settings.


The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
