Job Title

IP Counsel

Your Role:

• To safeguard the value of the Philips trademark rights by detecting and seizing counterfeit products infringing these trademark rights and prosecuting the manufacturers, distributors and sellers of these products in alignment with the business in China and colleagues in the Intellectual Property and Standards (IP&S) department;
• To handle administrative, civil and criminal procedures in Greater China;
• Build and maintain good relationships with the main Chinese authorities responsible for executing IP protection and anti-counterfeiting regulations like QBPC, AACA and other councils for brand protection to improve IP protection and enforcement in the Chinese market;
• Guide and strategize our IP agencies for online and offline IP protection actions in Greater China.

You’re the right fit if:

You have experience with or exposure to brand protection in Greater China; You are fluent, both writing and verbal, in English and Mandarin; You have a Bachelor or Master Degree (degree or professional certificate in the area of law or intellectual property is a plus); You have excellent relationship building, influencing and negotiating skills.
