Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Collect, track, and assess program data, including identifying key trends, to measure program effectiveness, inform continuous improvements, and use data-driven decision making to maintain best in class programming for tech associates

  • Manage stakeholder relationships with associates, business leaders, and other partners across a range of levels, functions, and geographies to ensure program success

  • Collaborate with program team and external partners to deliver high-quality results on key associate-facing initiatives that foster community, encourage engagement, enhance skills, and provide meaningful opportunities for advancement

  • Develop comprehensive communication plans that ensure consistent messaging across all audiences and across multiple channels including Google Sites, email, newsletters, team calendars, and Slack

  • Help to mitigate attrition and increase associate satisfaction and engagement by creating programming that continues to develop alumni throughout their careers at Capital One

  • Uphold operational excellence by maintaining accurate process documentation, meeting key milestones, and identifying opportunities to enhance processes

  • While this role is based in either McLean or Richmond, travel to the alternate location will be required 2-3 times annually (travel sponsored by Capital One)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or military experience

  • At least 1 year of experience working in program or project management or at least 1 year of working in employee development or engagement or a combination of both

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least two years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or consulting or at least three years of experience in marketing or a combination of the above

  • Experience working at a technology company

  • Experience with project management

  • Experience with event management

  • Experience interpreting metrics and trends

  • Experience in Campus Programs or Recruiting

  • Proficient knowledge of G Suites including Google Slides and Google Sheets

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with all customer contacts

  • Strong empathetic communication skills with varying levels of leaders and associates

McLean, VA: $71,200 - $81,300 for HR Associate Richmond, VA: $64,700 - $73,900 for HR AssociateThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
