Core responsibilities will vary but may include:

  • Enthusiastically build and manage relationships with business leaders, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), associates, managers, and other partners across a range of levels, business functions and geographies

  • This may involve flexible working hours and travel, depending on the needs of the program or event

  • Partner with key program stakeholders and teammates to develop and execute signature program events in both virtual and in-person capacity (Onboarding, Experience Weeks, Graduation, etc.) This may involve flexible working hours and travel, depending on the needs of the program or event.

  • Manage delivery of all performance management cycles and activities for program associates in partnership with local Line Of Business (LOB) teams, including education, communications, and tracking

  • Handle intake for escalated associated issues, manage upkeep of issue tracker, and serve as on-first POC for associate issues

  • Lead the development and implementation of engagement strategies to help build a community that leads to retention of top talent and strengthens Capital One’s brand

  • Engage with leaders across the company to ensure positive experience for the program’s associates

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with all customer contacts

  • Strong empathetic communication skills with varying levels of leaders and associates

  • Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change

  • Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills

  • Ability to embrace new systems and process enhancements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of Human Resources OR project management OR process management OR program management experience or any combination

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in human resources or at least 3 years of consulting or a combination

  • At least 1 year of experience interpreting metrics and trends

  • Experience in Campus Programs or Recruiting

  • Proficient knowledge of Powerpoint or Google Slides

  • Proficient knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets

McLean, VA: $86,300 - $98,400 for Sr. HR AssociateThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
