Responsibilities:
Understanding and keeping current on the IP software solutions available in the marketplace, and providing strategic guidance based on this knowledge.
Understanding and translating needs of IP Stakeholders (attorneys, engineers, operations personnel) into comprehensive and unambiguous software requirements.
Prioritizing software features based on business need and efficacy analysis.
Balancing tradeoffs between features, schedule, and costs based on their relationship to business goals, company policies, software architecture constraints, and software development team capabilities.
Crystallizing the product vision and working closely with software engineers/the technical team (https://www.wrike.com/product-management-guide/faq/technical-product-manager-vs-product-manager/) to define the design specifications.
Ensuring that the software solution is successfully meeting business goals and users' needs while adhering to stringent timelines and maintaining cost efficiency.
Tracking progress against plan and resolving any variances as soon as they are identified.
Develop and maintain a software roadmap.
Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple stakeholders with differing levels of knowledge. May require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.
Exercising exceptional creativity to innovate new ideas and develop innovative products/processes without established objectives or known parameters.
Develop, maintain, monitor, and report on software related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Designing process models and developing critical dashboards for comprehensive strategic and tactical analysis.
Maintain in-depth level of knowledge of all IP Department data, databases, processes, and tools. Keep pace with department policies and processes as they relate to the IP lifecycle activities.
Summarize and present research results, impacts, and next steps to management in reports, presentations, and meetings.
Manage team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for small to mid-sized projects.

Required Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
·5+ years Product Management or Software Product Development work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of the patent lifecycle and patent prosecution procedures
· Master’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
· 7+ years Product Management or Software Product Development work experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and 8+ years of IP or industry-specific legal experience.
Paralegal Certificate and 8+ years of IP or industry-specific legal experience.
Associate's degree and 10+ years of IP or industry-specific legal experience.
High school diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of IP or industry-specific legal experience.

Pay range:
$138,000.00 - $207,000.00
