The UK commercial organization is hiring a Commercial Optimization Manager to help us sustainably drive growth in the UK market. The UK Commercial function operatesto drive the UK market commercial P&L. Responsibilities span driving the monitoring and optimization of ICB UK Sales, delivery of strategic commercial initiatives, development and maintenance of the UK proposition. and development and monitoring of the key commercial targets.


Responsibilities:

  • Generation and prioritization of commercial actions
  • Support & advise on the identification and prioritization of commercial actions across product, promotion, comms, and others
  • Maintain a prioritized inventory & roadmap of commercial actions
  • Drive retrospective assessment of effectiveness of commercial actions
  • Commercial orchestration
  • Convene stakeholders involved in ideation and delivery of commercial actions
  • Support decision-making required for delivery of commercial actions
  • Develop commercial execution roadmaps and plans
  • Drive timely delivery of commercial actions, identify and resolve delivery problems and bottlenecks
  • Identify capacity & process constraints, work to increase pace & volume of delivery of commercial actions
  • Commercial planning and reporting
  • Track & report on ongoing impact of commercial actions on key business parameters (balances, new customers, new product conversions, etc)
  • Collaborate with commercial function and finance to understand impact of portfolio of commercial actions on OKR & P&L achievement
  • Drive regular report-outs & dialogue on commercial outcomes with senior UK market leadership

Skills/ Qualifications should include:

  • Experience with prioritization and orchestration of key initiatives within a commercial regulated environment, ideally digitally native and consumer-facing
  • Previous project management experience of complex, commercially-driven initiatives requiring engagement with cross-functional teams and stakeholders of all levels, including C-suite
  • Managed and worked within budgets and time-pressured environments
  • Used delivery data to forecast key deliverables and communicate a project’s status clearly with senior clients and stakeholders
  • Previous experience in retail banking would be a plus
