Job Description

You will take end-to-end responsibility for strategic communications activities with a strong focus on earned media and social media results. You will design and implement campaigns that tell Philips’ story to key audiences across the globe with a focus on informed public, investor and societal audiences. You will play an important role in driving forward the transformation of our External Relations team in close partnership with the newly-appointed Head of External Relations.

Your role:

  • Building connections and trust with the broadest and most extensive media and social media ecosystem possible, including direct liaison with global media contacts, influencers, paid media partners and emerging audiences.

  • Being a key member of the team running Philips’ busy newsroom, including media and influencer outreach and relationship-building.

  • Playing a leading role in developing and running integrated reputation campaigns using a range of digital tools and partnerships to tell captivating stories at the fast pace of live news.

  • Creating, orchestrating and implementing reputation-focused campaigns that run over months, and develop and deliver fast-twitch content and story angles that play out over hours and days.

  • Driving ROI in everything you do, from securing top-tier media coverage, earned social media that draws attention and in the design of integrated, measurable corporate reputation campaigns.

  • Driving new ways of working across the communications value chain from audience definition and objective setting to content creation, activation, and project evaluation.

You're the right fit if:

  • You are a team player who is eager to learn and embrace new channels, partnerships and content formats as we transform our communications ecosystem.

  • You have at least 7 years of experience in communications, including exposure to media relations and digital campaigning experience.

  • You are a strong communicator able to develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with business goals, as well as leading their implementation, including hand-on work at a high level of quality.

  • You speak native standard English and have a broad global perspective.

  • Desirable: you understand regulated industries such as financial services, pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
