Digital Retail Experience
Your
key responsibilities:
- Own the UX writing process end-to-end: from identifying opportunities, exploration, research, and validation, to execution and managing the localization process
- Write concise and effective microcopy for user interfaces in all our digital retail touchpoints
- Research, define and own the tone of voice we use for employee communication in digital products as well as other guidelines for Digital Retail Experiences
- Apply the appropriate tone of voice when writing for different touchpoints, from the employee app, which supports the store associate in delivering the best customer service, to a fast and functional checkout, instore gamification experiences, and new innovations and pilots
- Work with specialist terminology related to sports performance and fashion—think gait analysis, performance metrics and fashion customization techniques—as well as intricate retail language related to stock room management and back-office sales.
- Go beyond UI copy to craft inspirational and engaging content. Use storytelling techniques to evoke emotions and connect with customers, employees as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with project teams to identify new opportunities for iteration and experimentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional project team members across Design, Research, Product, Engineering, to form a holistic UX approach
- Create and execute on a strategic level, leveraging consumer insights and data but also get hands-on and granular with the details
- Coordinate closely with language specialists to bring their market-specific knowledge to our UX process
- Be a craft leader within the community and help drive the practice forward
- Gain a deep understanding of our users; combine consumer insights, trends, and behaviours
You’re a good fit for the role if:
- You’ve got 3+ years’ experience UX writing within product teams
- You’re currently a UX Writer or Content Designer
- You’re most at home in an agile/Scrum environment
- You use content design tools such as Figma, Sketch and Miro.
- You can work independently, but you're also a collaborative and effective communicator, comfortable presenting complex topics and decisions to team members and stakeholders at all levels
- You know how to prioritize work accordingly and handle responsibilities for a wide number of projects
- You have experience with coordinating localization for global audiences
- You understand and champion accessibility and inclusivity best practices throughout the user journey
- You’re an expert with experimentation and research; you can test, validate, and iterate on your solutions
- You can source, interpret, and implement feedback and insights into your content design decisions
Bonus points for:
- Have experience writing for global products (international audiences, multiple languages, etc.)
- Possess a detail-oriented mindset, while being able to think holistically
- Have knowledge or experience with content personalization
This role isn’t for you if:
- You prefer working independently, as our UX writers collaborate closely with designers, product owners, developers, and other specialists.
- A fast-paced, agile environment isn’t your natural habitat.
