Lead a Quality organization at the Tijuana site that appliesits expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means toimprove quality output and continuous improvements working with Operations,Engineering, Operations AME and Sourcing. You will lead the strategic directionand initiatives that ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatoryagencies, government regulations and engineering specifications whileinstilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, productacceptance and, product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains and monitors quality performance metrics. Leads the deployment of quality improvement strategies through functional teams, and coordinates with support functions to ensure customer quality satisfaction.
- Leads the development and deployment of quality assurance best practices throughout site; define yearly goals & objectives aligned with business strategies; support implementation teams to ensure Quality leadership goals are met, as well as the assessment and action planning of maturity path to Quality Vision.
- Implement process-based quality system by creating methodology for process yield reporting.
- Development and proper execution of the internal and external audit program to measure the overall compliance and effectiveness of the quality management system. Ensure compliance to contract and customer requirements and safety regulatory requirements.
- Document work through work instructions and policy and procedures and ensure proper implementation of those requirements.
- Resolve quality related issues with suppliers, customers and production through strong cross functional leadership
- Develop and deploy a Management Review process that requires site leadership engagement, to assure the effectiveness of the site’s overall Quality Management System (Audits, RCCA, VOC, Regulatory compliance, etc). All aspects of Quality Assurance as well as interfacing with manufacturing to ensure proper flow of information and data for continued product support.
- Hire train and develop quality team at the site.
- Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activity to drive continuous improvement across the site.
- Facilitate and execute projects leading to standardization, simplifying, and improving existing quality systems, and utilize Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to evaluate and prevent escapes/defects. Strong COPQ reduction program leadership is expected at site.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (MBA is highly preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in Quality for manufacturing operations
- 5-7 years of managerial experience.
