Amazon Web Services is looking for both Leaders and Developers (including Test Automation) to help us define and build the future of computing. The AWS Elastic Block Store (EBS) service delivers high performance virtualized storage "in the cloud" for EC2. Durable storage is a key building block for any application and as a member of the EBS team you'll work alongside outstanding engineers and leaders to develop and operate one of the largest storage services in the world.We're looking for innovative engineers to help change the dynamics of Release Automation and shift the balance towards automated testing, qualification, and continuous delivery. Our efforts will shift to providing support to EBS SDEs in leveraging our platform and services; while continuing to add critical features and functionality to improve EBS's overall quality and release posture.
Work/Life BalanceOn-Call Responsibility
This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
