Job Description:

You will work as a machine learning scientist to:

• Boost PayPal’s back office efficiency using data science
• Prevent PayPal from fraud and financial crimes.
• Improve PayPal customer experience by providing automation solutions.
• Bring value to PayPal business using internal and external data

Your day to day-

In your day to day role you will

• Identify and address data science problems during normal course of work and respond to risk mitigation needs quickly to solve issues with minimum guidance.
• Participate in the formulation and implementation of machine learning solutions
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on matters of significance to the business
• Look for improvement and innovation opportunities with business impact. Provide a source of high-quality ideas.

What do you need to bring-

• Excellence with machine learning framework and algorithms. For example: deep learning, GBDT, neural network, GBM
• Strong proficiency with Python and libraries for machine learning such as scikit-learn and pandas, pytorch etc.
• Strong expertise in analysing, visualizing and manipulating big datasets
• Proficiency with SQL or BigQuery
• Familiarity with Linux and big data
• Impeccable analytical and problem-solving skills
