The Data Concern Remediation Management Governance and Oversight (DCRM G&O) Lead is responsible for building and managing a new central function within the CDO to provide additional, structured oversight of Data Concerns across the Enterprise. The DCRM G&O Lead will evaluate existing oversight processes and capabilities and execute improvements to both. They will also provide independent challenge of Data Concerns as they progress through the DCRM lifecycle. The DCRM G&O Lead will work closely with the Data Operations Re-engineering and Process Group and the CDO Products team to build additional requirements to improve Data Concern management across the enterprise. The DCRM G&O Lead will build a team of DCRM G&O specialists to work with Data Leads to drive improved risk mitigation and timeliness of evaluating and remediating Data Concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval
- Design, oversee, and implement the execution of Enterprise Data Quality requirements, procedures and the Data Quality operating models, including scoring requirements
- Partner with Product Management to ensure development of suitable tools which enable efficient execution of required operating models
- Design, oversee, and implement the collection of suitable metrics that demonstrate the effective performance of the operating models
- Educate and mobilize Data Risk and Controls officers to perform their responsibilities under existing operating models, effectively leveraging the Certification processes
- Report Data Quality issues through Citi’s corresponding Data/Issue management process
- Lead migration of legacy systems to new enterprise platforms
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in a complex, financial organization, with a particular focus in Data Quality, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams
- Advanced domain knowledge of Data Governance methodologies, with a focus on Data Quality is preferred. Practical experience in implementing Data Governance and Data Quality processes is highly preferred
- Can effectively lead change in an organization with Citigroup’s size, scale and complexity; Experience leveraging the processes and principles of change Strategic mindset, who can see ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies
- Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomes
- Manages through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
