Elastic Partner Solutions Architect - Google Cloud Platform

The Partner Solutions Architect is a high-priority role that will have a sizable, immediate impact on Elastic and our entire partner ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical management and enablement of our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) relationship and will own the technical strategy and execution plan for that partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the trusted advisor who supports Solution Architects global team to solve complex cloud technology problems and delight customers with Elastic products, solutions and services while developing deep relationships with their presales technical engineers to create and expand mind share.
  • Build a readiness plan and proactively identify learning gaps. Grows domain knowledge and practices expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of the Elastic Cloud on Google.
  • Shares ideas, insight, and strategic-technical input with the ecosystem community using knowledge of Elastic solutions and their context in the competitive landscape.
  • Onboard, educate and enable our cloud technology partners, and support them in sales cycles.
  • Own the technical relationship with GCP, enabling them on Elastic Cloud products and solution offerings, by serving as their advisor for engagements.
  • Lead the lifecycle of agreements from business case, planning and governance, technical architecture, solution build, business modeling, and ensure business case is delivered to the end customer through partners.
  • Support partners in developing proactive proposals in key accounts for growing Elastic Cloud.
  • Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution.
  • Stay on top of market trends around cloud and industry best practices, building deep relationships with technical leaders inside and outside of the company, contributing to publications, white papers, blogs, and sales collateral.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience working with multinational customers in support of technology sales.
  • Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on GCP.
  • Deep hands-on design and engineering background in GCP, across a wide range of GCP services.
  • Broad understanding of GCP infrastructure services including GCE, GSC, KM, VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, GKE, Stackdriver, IAM, DNS and firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies: Terraform, Ansible.
  • Good understanding of Cloud Security and Observability.
  • Adept at getting things done in an environment with ambiguity but also lots of opportunity.
  • A history of successful customer relations where you developed an understanding of what made a difference, and devised architectures that helped meet a goal, tackle a problem, or outpace competitors.
  • Implementation experience with SaaS platforms using the web technology stack (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, RESTful APIs), especially cloud-based, high-performance solutions.
  • Exceptional program management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspire teams to work on not just what’s urgent, but what’s most important.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
  • Must be a Google’s Professional Cloud Architect or Google’s Professional Data Engineer certified

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component, that together comprise the On-Target Earnings (OTE). On-Target Earnings (OTE) are based on a 70/30 pay mix (base salary / target variable).

The typical starting OTE range for new hires in this role is listed below. This range representsthe lowest to highest OTE we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.

An employee's position within the OTE range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

The typical starting salary range for this role is:
$204,000 USD
The typical starting Target Variable range for this role is:
$87,400 USD
The typical starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is:
$291,400 USD
