  • The Collaboration Products team is responsible for managing the tech stack and ecosystem of our core collaboration technologies for Airbnb employees across the globe. Our mission is to deliver a streamlined, cloud-based collaboration tech stack that enables our collaboration capabilities for Airbnb teams so that we can collaborate effectively as we live and work anywhere in the world.

The Difference You Will Make:

  • The Senior Business Solutions Engineer is responsible for leading business enablement by utilizing their technical skills and understanding of SaaS technologies. The right candidate must possess strong communication and analytical skills to effectively work with business users to determine requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Additionally, they must excel in a remote team environment and have the ability to independently complete individual tasks to achieve team and stakeholder goals. Our ideal candidate would have a focus on results, data to measure performance, and the interpersonal skills to build trust and alignment. As AI continues to transform Service Management applications within enterprise-scale companies, the ideal candidate will also be adept at integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance productivity and creativity across our employee base.

A Typical Day:

  • Work as a strategic partner of the business by aligning with business groups on strategic vision and business priorities; serve as a liaison between business and technology
  • Understand technology capabilities required to support business needs, with a focus on leveraging AI to enhance productivity and creativity
  • Develop and maintain a technology roadmap by proactively communicating and collaborating with cross functional business and technical stakeholders
  • Lead business requirements gathering sessions and analyze key business processes and requirements, incorporating AI solutions where approved and applicable; work to gain approvals as new AI uses cases emerge
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of business processes, use cases, requirements, system integrations, reporting, and data flow, including AI-enhanced processes
  • Drive productivity and creativity by improving existing processes or implementing new business processes including AI-driven technology solutions when appropriate
  • Collaborate closely with technical lead and engineers to translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions incorporating AI capabilities as appropriate
  • Work with business users to document, manage, and prioritize bug fixes and enhancements, including those related to AI functionalities
  • Support business users on system configuration and administration including identifying system issues and troubleshooting and analyzing potential solutions
  • Support product development and release lifecycle by working with technical lead and engineers to test and release new system functions, ensuring on-time delivery of new products and features, including AI-driven enhancements, and assisting with new releases and approving all User Acceptance Testing
  • Participate in sprint planning, on-call for your area as well as other team rituals, with a focus on continual process reflection and improvement over time

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience with SaaS technologies used by internal employees
  • Experience in establishing effective business partnerships within and outside the organization
  • Manage customer relationships to gather business requirements and processes to support needs fulfillment
  • Highly responsive with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and juggle multiple deadlines and projects, and keep peers, partners, and supervisors abreast of activities
  • Proficiency in leading user interviews, requirements gathering, creating, maintaining, and supporting all application development artifacts, including user stories, process flows, screen mockups, data diagrams, business rule definitions, design documents, and reporting scripts
  • Strong analytical and system design skills, problem-solving skills, and a track record of seeing tasks through to successful completion
  • Experience working in a technical environment and being able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mind, attention to detail, and investigative skills
  • Experience working with self-service support tools in a high-growth company to promote shift-left initiatives as well as moving information and help from support staff to self-service knowledge repositories
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and their application across collaboration technologies to drive productivity and creativity
