Your Key Responsibilities
You will spend your time managing the successful delivery of cutting-edge, technically complex and demanding legal projects within the financial services sector. This will require you to have a working knowledge of the industry both locally and globally and be able to explain and sustain an average business conversation on how the industry operates, its current trends, and legal or regulatory hot topics. In doing so, you will also build and maintain new and existing client relationships both internally and externally.
To qualify for the roles you must have:
- Between 5 to 10 years of post-qualification experience as a qualified lawyer in a law firm reputable in investment funds, or an investment bank/wealth & asset manager in-house legal team, preferably from the MENA region or from an investment funds-centric financial centre e.g. Luxembourg, London, Dublin etc.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills with regards to laws and regulations applicable to the investment funds industry – preferably in DIFC, ADGM and Saudi Arabia.
- Good working knowledge of the investment funds market practice, business trends, industry jargon and operation of investment funds.
- Good knowledge of registration of funds/private placement regimes.
- Experienced in delivery of typical legal deliverables for investment funds (e.g. prospectus, fund terms & conditions, LP Agreements, subscription agreements, fund operational/management agreements, ancillary agreements etc)
- Strong client relationship-building capabilities combined with strategic and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, self-management, negotiation, and project management skills.
- The ability to create, sustain, and lead effective work teams.

- An enthusiastic, flexible and positive approach to work and challenges.
- The ability to get up to speed quickly.
- Keenness to continue developing your legal skills and engaging in new areas of work.
- Experience in coaching and developing more junior staff.
