What you'll do :
Specifically, you will:
- Design, develop, and implement custom applications and enhancements on the ServiceNow platform to support GCID ITSM/ITOM processes in incident, problem, change, service request, event or CMDB areas.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture requirements for all stories.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
- Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with architects to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Work closely with business analysts, process owners, and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of developed solutions to ensure quality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and defects in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users and administrators.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the platform.
- Implement enhancements and optimizations to improve the overall performance of ServiceNow solutions.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow developer.
- Proven track record of successful ServiceNow implementations and customizations.
- Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), or related areas.
- Proficiency with object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms.Proficiency in object-oriented programming skills e.g. JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and other ServiceNow development tools.
- Strong software engineering knowledge (version control, API design, database design, testing, code quality etc.).
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM etc.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and integration technologies.
- Knowledge in user interface development of web-based applications and database development (SQL, XML, etc.) also will be regarded as a plus.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (Preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Competent in English (spoken and written)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
- Ability to work in an international setup and with remote development teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
