- A minimum of a good honours degree in earth sciences and a master’s degree or doctorate in hydrogeology, hydrology, hydro-ecology, water resources management or environmental engineering or equivalent experience
- Good knowledge / experience of wetland characterisation and typology
- The ability to analyse information about water level, flow and quality data in relation to wetlands and to present this logically and accurately in reports or verbal presentations.
- Experience of enhancing, restoring, and creating a variety of wetland habitat types for a range of environmental drivers (carbon sequestration, flood risk management, biodiversity net gain, etc).
- Leading on scoping, supporting and interpreting ground investigations to adequately characterise wetlands.
