What you’ll do

You will work in the context of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) which provides the multi-cloud foundation and a layer of abstraction for all applications to run on both public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, Al iCloud) and private cloud. More specifically you will work on a specific technical Backing Service, the Postgres as a service.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, and assure the quality of complex product features with team members
  • Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and support others
  • Work in a multi-cloud environment within a DevOps setup.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code methodologies to automate and manage infrastructure and services
  • Learn new technologies/patterns and incorporate them into the product with minimal disruption.
  • Perform self-code review and peer review.
  • Define and formulate coding best practices and guidelines for clean code
  • Initiate, collaborate, and inculcate positive development practices into an agile team
  • Work with architects in designing and delivering robust, secure cloud-native applications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Excellent university degree (bachelor, diploma, master, PhD) in computer science or related engineering discipline
  • 9 to 12 years of relevant industry experience

Mandatory:

  • Sound understanding of cloud-native architecture, development, design, and cloud platforms
  • Good knowledge of software design patterns, including microservices and integrated systems.
  • Excellent hands-on proficiency in NodeJS, Typescript/JavaScript, and possibly Go
  • Sound knowledge of relational database management systems with a focus on SQL and administration.
  • Experience running systems on container-based platforms (Kubernetes and/or Cloud Foundry)
  • Confidence working within Unix / Linux shell environments with a focus on BASH/Python for automating scripting
  • IaaS experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Experience working with CI/CD

The NS2 Senior Cloud Engineer/Systems Administrator candidate will be responsible for leading the development of a standalone implementation of SAP Products and solutions that meet our client’s complex needs. This position is located onsite in Chantilly, VA. Candidate should be hands-on and has the necessary knowledge of cloud-based systems and associated security principals to effectively work with minimal supervision in a cloud environment, understanding the complexities that come with cloud, and can effectively communicate cloud design/architecture ideas to technical as well as non-technical client stakeholders. This is a full-time position, and due to security requirements is on-site only.

Skills/Experience Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skills in software architecture and cloud computing as well as very strong written and public communication skills.
  • Strong Design & Architecture skills- Experience in the overall architecture of software applications for products and solutions.
  • Expertise using Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible and Chef.
  • Experience with AWS Management Tools as CloudWatch and Cloud Trail.
  • Understanding cloud relevant data serialization languages such as JSON and YAML.
  • Proven strong system administration experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Linux (various distributions) and demonstrated strong UNIX Shell scripting knowledge.
  • 5+ years of experience with native cloud backend and frontend development technologies such as: node.js, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Angular etc.
  • Expertise in cloud-native architecture and development, including microservices, event-driven, and CQRS architecture.
  • Experience in designing/architecting horizontally scalable, multi-tenant web applications, within a large-scale service-oriented architecture, delivered in a SaaS (software as a service)
  • SaaS Architectural knowledge gained from experience.
  • Sound experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure and/or GCP)
  • Working with DevOps methodologies and tools to establish and execute a flawless development process, pipelines.
  • Collaborating with all development process contributors, including Product Managers, Architects, Project Management, Scrum Masters, Developers, User Assistance Developers, and DevOps to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Develop expertise on Product Standards like Security and Performance and incorporate them into the design.
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a required DoD 8570 certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP) within 6 months of hire.
  • Relevant cloud provider certifications.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of SAP processes and experience in enterprise software development would be an added advantage.
  • Industry recognized system administration certification

Additional Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree is required. Ideally in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology. MA/MS Preferred.
  • Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph

What you'll do

This position is within the Global Remote Service Delivery (RSD) organization, which provides SAP Enterprise Support and SAP Enterprise Support Cloud Editions customers with the relevant methodology and content to drive their innovation agenda based on industry business models requirements; thus providing value realization, resulting in increased customer satisfaction, contract retention and renewals. The role of the Service Consultant Enterprise Support is to ensure excellence in regional customer delivery via the tasks and responsibilities outlined below.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Work with a highly experienced team of technical experts within the Premium Hub CoE RSD Unit
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions to customers in complex environments for specific fields/areas/solutions
  • Deliver remote Continuous Quality Check (CQC) services or Expert Guided Implementation services as technical/functional expert for broad area of topics

What you bring:

  • Technology: ABAP / Netweaver (Basic to Advanced knowledge)
  • Programming skills
  • Database skills – e.g. SAP HANA
  • Proficient English language skills
  • Technical inquisitive nature with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in SAP products and technology required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years project/delivery experience on SAP Cloud solution in any one functional area like Success Factors, Ariba, CX, IBP (Digital Supply Chain), SAC. Relevant module specific certification would be a plus
  • Programming knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of databases (database design, efficient queries).
  • Understanding of Cloud native architecture and development is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and scale up in focus areas within SAP like S/4 HANA and SAP Cloud platform
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required as this is a customer facing role in delivery.

What you’ll do

The Senior Digital Customer Engagement Manager (dCEM) is responsible for E2E virtual customer engagement and delivery of contractual agreement and services for SAP Cloud Customers of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services, mainly focusing on SAP S/4HANA, private cloud edition deliverables.   • Technical and application expertise for different cloud solutions (S/4HANA or another private cloud)
