Purpose and objectives

As an AI Developer, you will work together with a team of dedicated experts including AI scientists, data engineers, dev-ops engineers, and architects with a single goal of building the best-in-class AI products. You will work against fixed timelines and your success will be measured by the ability to deliver solutions matching the performance of top-notch artificial intelligence systems.

Your tasks include:

• Push the frontiers of what is possible in artificial intelligence to create new solutions.

• Explore, understand, and implement most recent technologies and approaches for cloud applications and data pipelines.

Educational and experience requirements

Required

• Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 4-7 years of working experience as software developer, preferrable in AI focused cloud application development.

• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, objects-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded programming, and software design principles

• Hands-on knowledge in programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, Go, C++ etc.

• Hands-on knowledge of popular application frameworks/libraries such as Flask, Spring, Play, React etc.

• Fundamental knowledge of container & orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc.

• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Strong desire to overcome obstacles and make your work benefit SAP's customers.

• Excellent written and communication skills in English language.

• Experience with cloud-based application development using platforms such as SAP’s Business Technology Platform, AWS, Azure & Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

Optional

• Hands-on experience in Shell Scripting, PowerShell

• Create system architecture for complex and scalable AI/ML solutions.

• Develop and put the AI/ML/Generative AI models in production to serve multiple enterprise customers

• Lead/contribute to developing end-to-end AI/ML/Generative AI solutions, not restrictive to only algorithms.

• Drive AI/ML/Generative AI initiatives leveraging SAP AI eco system.

• Lead/work closely with other data scientists/experts and teams to deliver solutions for customers’ AI adoption journey.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML/Generative AI field.

• Proficiency in ML technologies/libraries like Scikit-learn, Pytorch, Tensorflow etc.

• Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python OOP is must)

• Very strong practical hand-on NLP technology usage knowhow (apply in business context)

• Experience in developing and productizing scalable AI solutions.

• Strong data exploration, cleansing, transformation, feature engineering skills

• Experience in MLOps/LLMOps on any Cloud platform.

• Familiarity with code management tools like Git, GitHub etc.

• Familiarity with cloud computing and cloud native technologies (e.g. Docker, K8S etc.)

• Communication skills with the ability to communicate appropriately with customers in various situations.
