Delivery quality tax planning and compliance services for real estate industry clients. Stay abreast of state & local tax developments, working to develop new and innovative service offerings. Review state and local compliance returns and work papers. Correspond with clients regarding notices from state tax authorities, identifying possible resolutions. Conduct multi-state studies and tax exposure analysis.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, Tax or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, Tax or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.Must have 4 years of real estate pass-through experience in a professional services firm, or mid-sized/regional to large sized/national public accounting firm.Must have 4 years of experience with REIT taxation, income and franchise taxes, transfer taxes, and multi-state jurisdictional compliance.Must have 4 years of experience with Go System and/or OneSource.Must have 1 year of experience reviewing state and local tax returns prepared by junior tax professionals.Must have 1 year of experience managing tax compliance engagements, including engagement-related budgeting and billing, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, and escalating issues to tax partners or executives as needed.

Must have a CPA certification, US state bar membership, or Enrolled Agent Certification, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Travel required up to 25%, to serve client needs.Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.

Your Key responsibilities

As Director, Operations -Financial Accounting and Reporting Outsourced Operations, you will:

• Lead and oversee the preparation and die-hard timely issuance of audit-ready monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports
• ensure all financial reporting complies with the relevant financial regulations and standards of the respective countries we serve
• review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and financial performance of the clients
• drive the budgeting, forecasting and analysis process for the portfolio of clients
• develop and implement improved practices for financial reporting processes
• lead data analytics and bring insight to client financial information
• provide financial insights and reccommendations to senior management for strategic deciion-making
• manage, coach and mentor the financial reporting team, ensuring they are updated with the latest accounting standards and regulations
• coordinate with internal and external auditors of the clients for annual audit processes
• communicate with ket stakeholders regarding financial reporting matters
• identify areas of improvement for our clients and assist with the design and implementation of solution
• ideare technology-enabled process improvements and facilitate their iplementation within the organization
• work with the foreign multinational clients to deliver quality services and support the management team to grow the business through key strategic initiatives including operational excellence, market expansion, takent developemtn, client leardership and business transformation

• At least 5 years' leadership experience in an operational role in outsourced accounting and reporting functions, with experience in month-end-procedures and management reporting
• Fully qualified in CA, CIMA, or ACCA qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to build, pilot, launch and manage outsourced accounting and reporting fucntions catering to advanced economies
• Led and have results assured oversight of dedicated teams of specialized individuals effectively to achieve set goals in quality and delivery
• Ability to grow the portfolio of services offered in outsourced accounting and reporting functions across new markets, bringing new ideas to streamline and improve functions by enabling technology
• Strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding of accounting and financial processes in UKGAAP and IFRS environments, including ablitiy to navigate tax authority filing regulations in advanced markets
• Proactive and able to identify and resolve problems, with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Thrive in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
