The Commercial Manager role is an important piece of a company's success within the tech industry. As the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, creating and managing relationships with key industry partners, and leveraging existing contacts to reach and interact with prospective partners. You will also be responsible for developing market plans and pricing strategies, managing contracts, and ensuring legal compliance for all activities related to customer acquisition and account management.
Your strong business acumen and industry expertise is key. You should have a solid understanding of the current competitive landscape, trends, and emerging opportunities within the software, hardware and telecom sectors. Additionally, you should have the ability to think strategically, weighing both short-term and long-term risks and rewards of business decisions.
Your excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills will be critical to your success in this role. You should be an effective communicator with a natural ability to build trust-based relationships with internal and external partners, manage conflicts and drive successful decision making and execution. You should also be able to recognize market changes, opportune moments, and trends in order to continuously adjust and optimize the market plans.
