  • Maintain consumables bill of materials for Tesla collision centers, including paints, primers, masking tape, sandpaper, polishing compounds, foam, adhesives, and other essential repair chemicals and products for vehicle repair and refinish
  • Collaborate with engineers, technical teams, specialists, and repair development colleagues to review, test, validate, and implement consumables for global collision operations
  • Track and evaluate vendor performance using analytics, including vendor scorecards, KPIs, and reporting
  • Provide technical expertise to the collision field, support teams, and other Tesla groups on consumables in the collision industry
  • Manage consumables RFPs for new vehicle models, ensuring timelines meet launch schedules, and support sourcing and procurement alignment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical, billing and other issues with consumables suppliers to ensure smooth operations and business alignment
  • Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, using Tesla project management tools to track timelines and report key information
What You’ll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in body/paint tech, operations, chemicals, or related fields (collision experience a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Proactive, responsive, and positive with strong interpersonal skills, energy, and urgency

  • Train and develop Collision technicians on inspection, repair, and service of Tesla vehicles. Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
  • Ensure that programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated, and administered in compliance with Tesla’s objectives
  • Assist with the operations that include inventory, vehicles, room setup, service center contacts, phone calls, scheduling, tool and equipment maintenance, and student data tracking
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet project deadlines
  • Comply with all Tesla safety rules, guidelines, and standards. Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools. Must be able to work independently in limited supervision environments

  • Order all replacement parts from Tesla Warehouse. Monitor parts delivery.
  • Direct Collision Techs to perform repair attempts where Repair Vs Replace is not clear.
  • Adhere to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and organized work area
  • Comply with safety rules, guidelines, and standards
What You’ll Bring
  • Vocational Certificate in collision repair preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as an collision estimator, Tesla experience preferred
  • 75% of the year travel minimum, 3 consecutive week capability
  • Willingness to work overtime if required.
  • Proficient with Computers, as well as CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell Estimating Software
  • Customer Service skills and automotive knowledge/background

  • Class A work experience, interior or exterior body panels/large transfer dies
  • Tool and Die trade obtained at a die design and build facility including hands-on CNC die surface machining, welding, and spotting experience
  • Knowledge of world class production systems – i.e., Toyota Production System (TPS), General Motors Systems (GMS), or equivalent
  • Experience in new vehicle development and launch activities. Understand interpretation of dimensional inspection results (checking fixture, CMM or vision system)
