Responsibilities

  • Work closely with external casting to advise on deal structure and strategy for guest performers.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Netflix and talent agents and attorneys regarding guest performer agreements.

  • Review and approve project-specific guest performer deals, ensuring accuracy, signatures, and payment details.

  • Advise and educate producers, casting, production, finance, post-production, and business affairs teams (in-house and external partners) on the requirements under SAG-AFTRA (and/or other performer union) contracts.

  • Work closely with in-house Creative Casting to provide optimal support to external partners.

  • Provide guidance to post-production regarding cast contract requirements when modifying scenes, including moving, splitting, and deleting scenes, as well as ADR/Loop Group payments.

  • Coordinate with Screen Credits, Residuals, and Legal Delivery teams to maintain an efficient workflow.

  • Willingness to work on new subjects outside area of expertise, take on special projects, and support all areas of the Casting Business Affairs Team as the need arises

Requirements

  • Experience with SAG-AFTRA and/or ACTRA Collective Bargaining Agreements

  • Familiarity with the production process and the key players

  • High proficiency in contract review, structuring, and drafting, as well as negotiating complex talent/performer agreements.

  • Exhibit sound judgment and adept critical thinking skills in various situations, enabling effective problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

The position is based in our Los Angeles office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing quantitative analyses (model building, scenario testing, forecasting) to support portfolio performance tracking and strategy

  • Developing insightful presentations that summarize key data, identify underlying trends, and ultimately result in actionable strategic recommendations.

  • Conducting market research and competitive trends analyses and summarizing them for a senior executive-level audience.

  • Working cross-functionally with our Data Science & Engineering and Consumer Insights teams to develop new metrics and track them through dashboarding and reporting.

  • Collaborating directly with top leaders in the Games organization: expertly delivering on their requests, translating their high-level thoughts into actionable strategies with measurable goals, and assisting in socializing these strategies and coordinating execution across a diverse set of stakeholders.

  • Netflix Games is fast-growing with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. You must be motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively autonomously.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years of work experience in a highly analytical role, ideally in management consulting, investment banking, or in a strategy & operations-focused role at a top-tier gaming or technology company.

  • Any experience working specifically in games is a plus.

  • Strong passion for games, Netflix IP and the entertainment industry at large.

  • Experience conducting quantitative analyses (including modeling) and qualitative analyses that can drive insights and results.

  • Excellent communication/presentation skills with a track record of presenting complex analyses to senior management clearly and concisely.

  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently; must thrive in a fast-paced, always-changing environment.

  • Highly intellectually curious, has the courage to challenge the status quo, and exhibits the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature, preferably Business, Economics,Statistics, or Engineering

  • Excellent proficiency with MS Excel / PowerPoint (and ideally their Google Suite counterparts)

As the Director of Creative, you will work cross-functionally with the Attractions and House teams to ideate and design new IP-based projects, helping to creatively lead projects from concept through design, to opening day and beyond. You will lead an in-house team of designers and creatives, build creative briefs that extend Netflix stories in innovative ways and help shape our portfolio of attractions to ensure they deliver authentic and loved moments for fans.

What you will do:

  • Lead a team of in-house designers and external vendors to execute the broader creative strategy and design development across a portfolio of experiences

  • Ideate new projects and play a key role in blue sky, concept design phases, in collaboration with producers and Experiences leadership team

  • Lead charettes, brainstorms and determine the look and feel for new concepts and create detailed creative briefs for external agencies and cross-functional partners (Marketing, Content, Brand Partnerships, Consumer Products, etc.)

  • Assist the project lead in keeping the project on the right track creatively, by providing Creative intent reference materials, commenting on design packages, outlines, scripts, layouts and illustrations during all design phases

  • Adjust graphics, drawings or 3D models in order to best communicate conceptual vision and design direction to our creative vendors when necessary

  • Oversee in-progress design of all projects such as reviewing and redlining design packages, material boards, visiting fabrication vendors, etc

  • Be onsite to oversee creative excellence during the build and test & adjust phase during installation

  • Benchmark new and existing attractions, visit relevant trade shows and attend seminars to always be on the forefront of innovation and new directions for our industry

What we need from you:

  • Demonstrated, 12+ years of creative design experience in the Location Based Entertainment industry, with a strong combination of practical field and leadership experience

  • Ability to champion Creative integrity while balancing speed-to-market and business goals

  • Strong experience in art direction, concept design, environmental design, graphic design and/or creative direction, that has resulted in a body of best-in-class creative & experiential projects

  • A portfolio of diverse and different project types showcasing a desire to try out new things

  • Experience managing and developing direct reports in an environment that embraces individual momentum

  • Strong knowledge of digital design tools such as Sketch Up, Maya, Blender, Revit, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. (note: we’re not bound to a specific program)

  • Demonstrated illustration skills, and/or ability to draw spatial layouts/elevations

  • Expert knowledge of both permanent and touring experiences

  • Ability to make difficult (yet informed) decisions, always in the best interest of Netflix

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and digitally

  • Excellent organizing skills using digital tools and Google suite

  • Global experience preferred
