We’re seeking a Lead Engineer for the Atlas Stream Processing team to provide technical direction, direct architecture decisions, and implement core parts of the new stream processing architecture that GA’d in the summer of 2024. enables processing streams of complex data using the same data model and Query API used in Atlas databases.

• Manage a team of software engineers, responsible for ensuring their success, aiding their career growth, and facilitating their technical work
• Make coding contributions to the team’s projects
• Work with product managers, program managers, design & analytics teams and other teams to define, prioritize and deliver new features that delight our users and drive platform improvements
• Take responsibility for the planning and execution of major features, raise delivery risks
• Own the monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the systems your team develops
• Enable the team to operate efficiently by removing technical obstacles, coordinating with other teams on dependencies, and prioritizing the team's overall well-being
• Contribute to planning for organizational growth, including allocation of engineering resources, participate in hiring and assignment of projects

• 5+ years of experience of building distributed systems, and/or foundational cloud services at scale and experience with a compiled language (Java, C#, Go, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience managing a team of 3+ engineers and providing technical leadership
• Track record in hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing software engineering teams, experience working with remote teams and a passion for mentoring and career development of the team
• Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills and desire to collaborate with colleagues, other teams, and lead projects
• Strong background in building core components for data processing systems (including query execution, storage engines, autotuning and workload optimization) and distributed systems
• Have led the launch of new features and maintained them in production
• Bonus points for experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (eg. Kubernetes) and observability tools
• Be a force multiplier in our software development process. Enable teams to deliver great products through leadership and technical contributions

• In the first month, you’ll have understood the surface area, the high level architecture of the Atlas Stream Processing. You’ll have initiated one-on-one’s with your team members.
• In three months, you’ll have on-boarded onto the team and contributed to the design and development of a feature
• In six months, you will have taken on full responsibility for projects slated for the subsequent quarter. You’ll have started growth conversations with your team members and begun to understand their longer-term career aspirations
• In twelve months, you’ll have led the development of multiple new features and performed a full annual cycle of performance and growth conversations with your team members. Additionally, you’ll have contributed to the vision for the future of the Atlas Streams team and helped develop a plan to achieve that vision

• Product Strategy and Ownership: Drive the complete lifecycle of the product, from defining vision and strategy to roadmap creation and execution; Align product direction with business priorities, IT architecture, and stakeholder needs; Define the "art of the possible," balancing quick wins with long-term improvements, and advocate for strategic innovation in data products
• Requirements Gathering and Use Case Definition: Partner closely with stakeholders, including analysts, engineers, and product managers, to collect and document detailed business requirements; Interview diverse personas to determine use cases, user stories, and actionable solutions, ensuring stakeholder pain points are accurately captured
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the user, gathering feedback and championing their needs; Develop and maintain strong partnerships across business units, engineering teams, and executive leadership. Provide clarity and transparency to the business on product progress, prioritization decisions, and roadblocks

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in data products, or equivalent work experience with a proven ability to define product scope and collaborate with technical teams to deliver impactful solutions
• Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to align product roadmaps with business priorities, operational needs, and technical feasibility. Skilled at making trade-off decisions between scope, resources, and timelines

Hands-on experience designing and implementing paid digital programs is a must, ABM experience is required. The right candidate will be a strong program manager, have excellent collaboration and communication skills, and have experience working within paid digital platforms.

This role will be based remotely in New York.

1. Partner with marketers from across the Global Demand Center, Regional Marketing, and Product Marketing to fine-tune existing processes and programs, and design new workflows as needed
2. Act as the digital acquisition team point of contact for global paid digital ABM campaign planning and execution
3. Take lead on the programs you manage by working with our media agency to launch new paid digital campaigns, and communicating key milestones and learnings back to your stakeholders
4. Ensure that we have the right reporting dashboards in place for the programs you oversee, and manage conversations with our Marketing Operations and Analytics teams to design new dashboards as needed
5. Leverage digital platforms and analytics tools to gather data, extract insights, design experiments, and make informed recommendations to help progress your programs
6. Work with your manager to develop budget plans and forecasts, and determine spend allocations across programs

• B2D or B2B marketing experience, ideally in SaaS/Self-Serve. 2+ years of experience in marketing to a technical audience preferred
• 4+ years of experience managing programs across paid digital channels, including experience building ABM digital programs
• Exceptional project management experience, with experience keeping track of multiple projects at once and prioritizing work based on business impact. Experience working with project management tools like Wrike a plus
• Effective communication skills, with experience communicating processes and best practices to stakeholders. Ability to be flexible as needs change across teams and programs
• Critical thinker, with the ability to quickly ascertain cross-functional needs, understand how these needs ladder up to marketing and company objectives, and make informed recommendations to non-analytical audiences
• Direct experience managing campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, and Google
• Experience working with and managing relationships with digital agencies

• 7+ years experience working in Customer Success, Account Management, Client Services or other similarly customer-centric role.
• A background and passion for advocating on behalf of your customers - this role should act as an extension of our customers team within MongoDB
• A mind for technology - we’ll teach you about MongoDB and databases, but our customers and product are inherently technical and you should have an aptitude and curiosity to learn about those concepts
• The ability to act with a high level of autonomy, you will be expected to take full ownership of your customer portfolio and make key decisions to drive effective customer outcomes; including deciding when to include our executive team or c-suite in customer escalations, how to de-risk or de-escalate customer issues and conflict and advocating to internal teams including sales, professional services, etc.

• Work as a strategic advisor to your customer providing them with guidance on MongoDB best practices and their overall technology strategy; this could include running enablement sessions alone or with another internal MongoDB team members, advising the customer on strategies to optimize their technical environment or current spend with MongoDB, positioning and recommending product features and best practices to accelerate customers time to value and growth
