Responsibilities

A successful candidate shall have demonstrated ability in scientific programming with strong working knowledge in computational electromagnetics (field theory) or computational geometry. Knowledge of optical modeling, scatterometry and metrology is abigplus.

Minimum Qualifications

•Ph.D. or master's degree in physics/Math/CS/EE or related fields.

•Strong background in at least one of the following areas: computational physics (electromagnetics preferred), numerical optimization, and computational geometry.

•Knowledge in computational electromagnetic (such as RCWA, FDTD and FEM) would be a plus. Knowledge in computer architecture or parallel computing is a huge plus.

•Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

•Proficient in C/C++/C# and object-oriented programming.

•Experiences in MATLAB/Python or other algorithm prototyping languages.

•Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly.

•Good oral and written English skills.

Qualifications

• Co-work with BU and Service teams to execute PSA objectives.
• Customer Engagement: Defines and executes customer specific product penetration, positioning, and market share strategies. Develops relationships with key customer technical buying influences and has a deep understanding of leading-edge photomask fabrication process and photomask related inspection/metrology technology.
• Collaborates with the RAPID Marketing and Engineering teams todevelop/position/deliverdifferentiatedproduct value and resolve customer issues.
• Has a strong understanding of the customer sales cycle and process. Jointly develops sales strategies in collaboration with account managers. Knowledge and application of KLA sales processes (Value/People, SPIN, etc).
• Able to mentor/coach/develop engineers and setup the goal which not only match business scope but also motivate team members.
• Conducting in-depth characterization and feature improvement in collaboration with different functional teams (example Productmarket/Program/Systems/Algorithms)
• Leading large Apps projects including negotiating for resources, e.g. characterization, beta testing, and gap analysis

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong background in semiconductor process technology, experienced knowledge of semi-conductor lithography process, and photomask (reticle) fabrication process
• Master degree in Engineering/Science background.
• 4-5 years of experience in mask pattern inspection field, manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience in process or applications engineering.
• Good presentation and proficient in project management skill.

Required skills

• Multidisciplinary background in either Physical science, Mechanical engineering, Computer science, or relevant fields.

Responsibilities

Detailed responsibilities include:

• Develop and deliver technical training on service, maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Use the combination of product technical skills and training skills together to deliver high-quality service training to KLA field service engineers, technical support engineers, and install engineers and external customers.
• Participate in tool building, manufacturing, field support, upgrades, installs, and other technical activities to master the technical know-how on the assigned product. Maintain and stay up to date on new product changes and updates.
• Independently conduct and lead the review meetings and discussions with subject matter experts to define milestones, deliverables, and training plans.
• Lead the assigned training projects; conduct reviews with stakeholders; provide regular updates to the stakeholders and functional groups; assess risks and actions; assesses efforts, time and resource requirements; maintains action trackers and project documentation.
• Review engineering documentation, procedures, and specifications. Capture technical information into training documents. Develop well-organized training content and videos most appropriate to the target audience and create appropriate certification plans.
• Learn and use new software and tools to develop high-quality videos, remote training, web-based modules, augment reality models and simulations to deliver highly engaging learning experiences.
• Fully maintain the assigned tools or equipment in the best possible conditions all the time. Performs regular health checks, preventive and corrective maintenance and upgrades.
• Follow and apply standard training design and development best practices, formats and templates.
• Review and validate service procedures on the tool. Assess the need to update documentation. Monitors the errors, mistakes, changes requested. Provide corrective feedback to technical writers and drive implementation of the changes in the documentation quickly.

This role requires up to 20% travel.

The individual in this role may be required to serve afternoon/evening shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

• An engineering degree in optical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
• Minimum 3 years of in-depth technical experience on KLA inspection or metrology equipment.
• Preferred experience on KLA products on one or more platforms. Experience on other inspection equipment backed by in-depth manufacturing or service experience will be considered.
• Proven track record of supporting a range of install, service, tool building, manufacturing or technical support activities on KLA tools.
• Prior experience in conducting or supporting technical training, formally or informally, or mentoring junior engineers on KLA or other semiconductor tools will be a plus.

• Be the project leader for developing NPI (New Product Introduction) curriculum, define the requirements, establish delivery timelines and provide monthly updates to partners- Initiate DCRs (Document Change Requests) to ensure service procedures are accurate and current
• Review and redline existing docs for content accuracy; edit existing docs that have been redlined
• Format and write new documents
• Perform regular training tool PMs (Preventative Maintenance) as per existing BKMs
• Identify any tool health issues, propose PoAs (Plan of Action) and work closely with Technical Support to recover tool using daily pass downs and SAMs (Service Alert Meeting) as needed.
• Work with the Technical Support team for standardization of the solutions, ensure knowledge is captured appropriately.
• Provide first level support to field as Technical Support equivalent
• Work with Technical Support team to support field L2 issues by attending daily SAMs and by providing on site support for L3 issues

Qualifications

• Perform installation of semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide while ensuring the systems meet specified performance specifications.
• Activities during installation includes but not limited to setup, alignment, calibration, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of highly complex capital equipment.
• Understand and troubleshoot problems in software and electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems related to the assigned system.
• Must successfully complete required and ongoing technical training to acquire a thorough knowledge of company equipment; including installation procedures and the application of diagnostic techniques and practical application of service aids.
• Prepare field service reports and daily passdowns on Installation progress and non-conformances.
• Contribute to post-activity Quality feedback initiative and improvement.
• Execute documented procedures, exercises judgment within defined procedures and recommend changes to existing process and procedures when needed.
• Represent the company to the customer and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with allinstallation/upgrade-associatedactivities.
• Obtain all necessary international travel documents and manage their personal lives to be ready to travel overseas for extended period
• Manage personal finances to prevent disruption to scheduled activities - even when traveling for extended periods.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalentexperience.
• Knowledgeable in electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems
• Competent with the MS Office suite of applications and have knowledge of computer theory, various operating system software knowledge and networking in a Windows, Unix or Novell environment.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills are required.
• Ability to work in local or remote locations with domestic and international travel for average 60-70%
