Minimum Qualifications

A Master degree in Engineering or Science and at least 3 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

•As a senior software engineer in our component inspection human interface development team, you will be part of an international Scrum team that uses agile standard methodologies to build stable and maintainable software.

•You will apply the latest techniques in C++ and C# software design to develop software that ranges from control of image acquisition and processing up till modern WPF user interfaces.

•You will have the opportunity to occasionally travel to customers and discover new places and cultures along the way.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum an MS degree in engineering with at least 5 years of experience.

•Extensive programming skills in modern C++.

•Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, and UML.

•An affinity to vision applications is a plus.

•Knowledge of C#, WPF, Python, GIT and Scrum are a plus.

•Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

•Ability to work independently without guidance as an Individual contributor.

•Proficient in English

Key responsibilities:

• Represents the company to the customer and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with service.
• Assures operational quality of system equipment.
• Coordinates actions with customers to minimize down time.
• Provides assistance to Installation Engineers and other CSE's in resolving problems. May perform duties associated with Technical Support Engineer.
• Repairing of system level problems (which have multiple causes and for which no standard procedures exist) are based on CSE's technical knowledge, education, training and certification.
• CSE may access and resolve problems existing in customers' processes such as chemical leaks or contamination, and as a result may recommend shutdown of customer fab due to unsafe conditions.
• Prepares fields service reports on customer support activity and provide documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring problems.

Skills and experience

• Experience with troubleshooting techniques in repairing complex and sophisticated tools.
• Well-able to read and interpretelectronic/electro-mechanicalschematics and drawings.
• Ability to address overall system issues (hardware, software, networking, automation, applications); ability to drive customer improvement programs, change order programs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Languages: Fluent English (Both written and spoken)
• Bachelor’s level Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering and 2 years of related work experience or 5 years industry working experience
• Avalid driving license is required for the country you will be working in.
• Field service or equipment related experience on Semiconductor capital equipment is a plus.
• Being based inNorthernBelgium or willing to relocate
• Availability to travel outside of Benelux 30-40% of the time

You will be part of a team of technical specialists supporting the roll out of new products to customers as well as using this expertise to include customer requirements in new product developments.

Responsibilities:

The applications engineer will have following responsibilities in the team:

• Perform the feasibility study on new samples provided by customers
• Represent the applications team in selected new product development programs. Join design reviews, formulate usability ideas, prepare and conduct internal alpha test plans, present to senior management in milestone meetings etc.
• Write down detailed requirements for product improvements and discuss them with the different stakeholders, including the design engineering teams.
• Perform acceptance testing of newly developed customer featuresbefore rolling them out to the customer.
• Support beta installations at customerswhen required
• Prepare technical training material and conduct the training to other KLA employees

Profile :

• You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with industry experience
• Experience as a technical specialist or application engineer in high technological products is an advantage but not a must
• Like to work at the tool for most of the time
• You can handle multiple projects with tight deadlines, requiring exceptional time management and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be resilient, adaptable, and able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure

Job Description:

You will become responsible to work out new differentiating vision solutions running on our tools. Combining sophisticated software algorithms with embedded and off the shelf hardware to make a unique product. The growing need for differentiating visual inspection solutions in the high-end markets we serve will allow you to further grow within this position, so you can become an authority and work on the most ambitious programs.

Your work involves:

• Crafting and developing software for new inspection challenges based on requirements and available information from the customer.
• Collaborating with other software teams on how new inspection flows can easily be validated and integrated in our inspection machines.
• Support our field engineers and applications department with the whole process flow of working with the vision system and all our applications.
• Occasional travel to connect with customers and to have firsthand insights.

Requirements:

Having a good understanding of machine vision processes and algorithm empowers you to support our customers to help solving their sophisticated and future challenges.

• Master’s degree in engineering or Computer Science. Having 2 to 3 years’ experience is a surplus but not a requirement. We mainly need your passion for technology, drive to make things work and learn every single day.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and practical hands-on C/C++ experience. Experience with Python for deep learning is a plus.
• Eager to learn about new trends in hardware and in software development. A passion for algorithms and using mathematics to solve real world problems. Working with Linux and experimenting with new frameworks and Computer Vision Packages.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Responsible for the successful transfer of new opto-mechanical designs from the design center in Leuven to the operations facilities in Asia.
• Be part of the design team to drive new designs for cost, manufacturability, assembly & test cycle time and quality. Validate releases of new products including Bill of Material integrity, documentation, make/buy decisions, etc.
• Work with design engineers to identify, specify, document and implement manufacturing methods, procedures, and test equipment required for assembly and test of new designs. Provide training to the manufacturing engineers at the remote production facilities. Interact with supply chain and planning teams on materials issues. This will require daily cooperation with and occasional travel to the operations teams in Asia.
• Review and approve sales orders for beta validation of new releases.
• Represent the design engineering team in reviews with the operations team and - management.
• Conduct regular training to the design engineering teams on deliverables for successful transfer of new designs to operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree inElectrical/MechanicalEngineering or related fields with experience in manufacturing
• In-depth understanding of optical, mechanical, electrical, and software components involved in the design and development of optical-based, semiconductor inspection equipment or equivalent
