Key Responsibilities:
Legal Support: Deliver legal guidance to local Markets lines of business, particularly in derivatives, repos, trading in regulated markets, structured financing and prudential rules.
Document Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of documents related to local and cross-border loans and derivatives (including CGDs, CSAs and bespoke loan agreements, as well as ancillary contracts).
Cross-Jurisdiction Coordination: Collaborate with business teams and other stakeholders to coordinate internal legal discussions for multi-jurisdictional derivatives and structured finance transactions. Engage with teams in the US, other Latin America jurisdictions, and other regions, and liaise with outside counsel as needed.
Deal Structuring: Support business teams in structuring complex and innovative deals, reviewing new product initiatives and supporting the business with draft of agreements, as well as regulatory advice.
Regional Support: Assist the Latin America Markets business franchise in various trading matters, working with Legal teams in each country or outside counsel where JPMorgan lacks an internal Legal team.
Internal Assessments: Draft internal legal assessments and review legal opinions for submission to internal committees on netting and collateral confidence issues related to derivatives, repos, and central clearing matters for both client and in-house trading activity.
Regulatory Advisory: Advise local management and key stakeholders on legal, regulatory, and risk matters related to Markets lines of business in Brazil. Address local governance, regulatory, and transactional work concerning JPMorgan vehicles and entities operating in Brazil.
Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about key regulatory agendas impacting JPMorgan businesses. Advise on regulatory changes and participate in industry association forums.
Qualifications:
Experience: Qualified with at least 7 years of legal experience, ideally as a lawyer in financial markets or corporate practice in a law firm, or as in-house counsel in the financial services industry.
Knowledge: Profound understanding of financial markets, banking regulation, and derivatives.
Licensing: Licensed attorney in Brazil.
Language Skills: Fluent in English. Spanish will be seen as a plus.
Skill Set:
Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

As a Supply Chain Finance Supplier Sales Associate within our Trade and Working Capital team, you will be instrumental in supporting the Brazilian Supply Chain Finance business. Your role will involve close collaboration with Program Managers and you will be assigned a portfolio of programs to promote enrollment activity. You will be part of the Supply Chain Finance Supplier Sales team, tasked with actively marketing the early payment solution to suppliers, engaging with the buyer organization, and managing the supply chain finance programs within the region. Our global clients are increasingly focused on the effectiveness of Trade Finance providers in delivering and executing solutions that aid in the support of their businesses and working capital objectives. Your role will also involve enhancing the client experience through a continual review of end-to-end process improvement, tools, and organizational structure to determine what we need to do to make it easier to acquire, onboard, and serve clients.
• Deliver a superior client experience while driving program ramp to achieve revenue growth for the Global Trade business.
• Design and execute a supplier enrollment/sales strategy and calling plan for each respective assigned program.
• Leverage the JPMC Commercial & Middle Market banking network to drive supplier engagement by collaborating with Relationship Managers and Coverage Bankers.
• Partner with the program manager for each respective program to provide relevant insights into program growth, supplier participation patterns, and other observed trends.
• Manage ongoing strategic supplier relationships, identifying and solutioning any issues or risks.
• Assist in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier engagement and program success.
• Work closely with counterparts in other regions to coordinate activities that involve multi-regional engagement.
• Facilitate requests and inquiries with cross functional partners in Client Service, Operations, Contracts Management, Product, and others.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all supplier-related activities, escalating accordingly within the Risk and Control framework.
• Support the execution of several critical in-flight technology initiatives designed around improving our efficiency and effectiveness of the supplier sales process.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3+ years of experience in Sales, Client Service, Portfolio Management support; or Operations with 2+ years in an active client facing role.
• Verbal and written skills in Portuguese and English.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Positive, results oriented thinker with propensity for new idea generation.
• Familiarity with (or exposure to) Trade & Working Capital, Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, Inventory Finance, or Traditional Core Trade.
• Sales experience.
• Verbal and written skills in Spanish.
